Anton is a physicist-turned-machine learning scientist with interests in Gaussian Processes, variational methods, optimization, and computational geometry. Previously, he was a research associate at Stanford SLAC, solving latent variable models in nonlinear X-Ray spectroscopy. He holds a Biophysics Ph.D. from the University of Michigan where he developed the 2D electronic Stark spectroscopy technique for observing charge-separation dynamics in the Photosystem II reaction center.
