Dylan Moriss has forged an impressive career path at the intersection of biomedicine and technology. Graduating with a degree in computer science, he began his journey by contributing to the simulation of computer networks, questioning the transferability of such methods to biology. This curiosity led him to pursue a biophysics PhD at Caltech, where he conducted groundbreaking work in cryo-EM and computational modeling for cellular simulation. Departing academia, Dylan co-founded a biosensor startup, securing funding and assembling a talented team. Despite the venture’s challenges, this experience propelled him into the realm of investment. Dylan’s venture career spans roles at Innovation Endeavors and CRV, where he played a pivotal role in building the latter’s bioengineering practice. Since July 2021, he has been at the forefront of bio space efforts at Insight, focusing on technology-driven advancements in drug discovery, bioengineering, and transformative therapies.
